The artist Gino Savino was born in Araraquara, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

 
 

 

 
 

He began his artistic activities in 1973 and has the following degrees:

 
  .....2000 – Faculty of Fine Arts – Jaboticabal, SP, Brazil;  
 

.....1981 – Faculty of Safety Work Engineering – Araraquara, SP, Brazil;

 
 

.....1980 – Faculty of Land Survey Engineering – Araraquara, SP, Brazil.

 
     
 

In 1994, specialized in Culture and Baroque Art (University of Ouro Preto, MG, Brazil).

 
     
 

Since 1983, he carves residential wood doors. With several individual and collective exhibitions in art

 
 

galleries, he received prizes in the 1980’s.

 
     
 

From 1988 to 2001, he taught Art Education (painting, wood carving, clay modeling and drawing) in

 
  elementary and high school.  
     
 

Among other activities in 1996, he developed the project of “Conservation and Restoration of the Histo-

 
 

rical Patrimony in the Wood Polychrome”, approved by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture. Still in 1996, he

 
 

created the Studio “Villa Savino” where he taught sculpture courses, wood carving, woodcut and mo-

 
 

dern painting.

 
     
 

In July 1997, he studied “Restoration in Antique Wood” at Palazzo Spinelli Institute in Florence, Italy.

 
     
 

Also in 1997, he created and developed the Project “Minimal Art” – 120 sculptures in lead of pencil and

 
 

the Collection “Streets of the World” – wood carving.

 
     
 

In 2001, Gino began carving artistic wood doors to Vancouver, BC, Canada where he continues his artistic work and exhibitions.
